Attract More Clients With Business Card Magnets
How many crumpled business cards do we find in our wallet, purses, and junk drawers? Some people are well organized and keep a little rolodex full of business cards, but most of us are not. Unless we have a secretary to keep up with that stuff, ordinary cards kind of get lost. I don’t know about you, but I am so much less likely to toss something that I can actually use. Our plumber gave us a business cards magnets with his card on it. It’s on the fridge. I do not have to search for the phonebook, call information, or rummage around looking for his number. The same goes for our veterinarian. My dog’s appointment is jotted on with an erasable marker so I can reuse it. It’s right on the refrigerator door with the magnet that reminds me to give his heartworm preventative on the 18th of the month.
Maybe you don’t want your fridge to be a message center. There are inexpensive metal boards that will hold your magnets. If you have a home office, a fling cabinet can double as a place to keep your frequently used numbers. I absolutely hate looking up numbers and trying to remember where I got something that I liked. These handy little magnets help me out a lot.
Business card magnets are not very expensive. You can get blank ones and just insert your existing business cards. Of course, you can create one in any color with your own logo or choose from existing clip art to make it your own. Photos can be added to your business card as well. You are only limited by your imaginations. Let’s face it. Your customers love to get something, anything for free. They may eventually toss your paper card, but the magnet will find a home on some metal surface within easy reach when they need you.
My husband works for a tax preparation company. They keep track of client retention for each employee from year to year. He invested in magnetic business cards and his clients come back year after year. When people don’t see you often, they may need a little reminder of the name of the person or business who served them well. Give them something to remember you by.
Get out there and promote your business. You can get business card magnets in as little as 8-10 days. There is usually a rush option for a bit more money. If you’re not sure, you can order 250 magnets for a bit over a hundred dollars. Your clients will love getting them and they’ll remember you next time they need something done. I’ll just bet you’ll be reordering before you know it.
