Advertising Magnets Put YOur Name In The Public Eye

Businesses have used give-aways for years to promote their establishments. There was a time when every hardware store gave away rulers and yardsticks imprinted with their names. Just try and find a yardstick today. Of course restaurants always had matchbooks as did many hotels and bars. With fewer people smoking and very few establishments allowing it, you don’t see many matches today. Today advertising magnets are popular.

They are certainly useful and come in a lot of different configurations. You can have little clips with magnets to hold notes and your grocery list. There are calendar magnets, magnets with sports schedules, and restaurant magnets just to mention a few. Every year some of my friends and I attend a cooking class and in the giveaway bag is, you guessed it, a magnet advertising one of their sponsors. I have even seen dishwasher magnets that tell you whether the load is clean or dirty.

The great thing about advertising magnets is that few people will throw them away. They’ll stick them on the fridge and when they want pizza or Chinese take out, they’ll order from the easiest one to find. Having a magnet from your veterinarian, doctor, plumber or electrician is handy. You don’t have to pull out your address book or call information when you need to call. I have a magnet advertising my dogs’ heartworm medication that is erasable and reminds me each month to give them the preventative. I have four dogs and I need that little nudge.

For people who want to advertise, magnets are pretty cost effective. The more you buy, the less they cost. You can hand them out or they make some that can be mailed like a postcard. A lot of pizza places in my area send one along with a take out menu with all their deliveries. Maybe you already have a lot of business cards printed up. If that’s the case, you can buy blank, peel and stick magnets and use what you already have.

Another use for advertising magnets is signs for delivery vehicles. It is really expensive to have a delivery car custom painted with your logo. The magnetized signs are less expensive and very attractive. You can advertise your business wherever you go and they are easily removed if you use your car for personal reasons as well. Many sign shops now carry advertising magnets and magnetic signs. You have a huge variety to choose from if you want to order online. You can choose from an existing design or have them custom made to your specifications. Once you approve the sample your magnets will be on their way to you in no time at all.
